Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD)
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the bone joint that connects your upper and lower jaw in front of the ears.
Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is a problem affecting the ‘chewing’ muscles and the joints between the lower jaw and the base of the skull. The condition is sometimes refered to as “myofascial pain disorder”.
While a dentist needs to perform an examination to diagnose TMJ disorder, there are some signs and symptoms that can prompt you to book an appointment.
